So far, everything manufactured in China and/or Korea that I have worked on, had metric thread machine screws and lots of jis head screws (that is the head that LOOKS like a Philips head, but works best with a jis screwdriver bit). The "jis" is Japanese Industrial Standard, and has been extensively used in China and Korea for more than 50 years.
Well, the MTH tender screws are SAE, and they're made in China, so not everything has metric.
Thanks Hotwater...you answered my question...i was wondering why screw driver seemed not to fit the screw...any idea where i can get JIS drivers?thanks again... p.s. if you have any info on the JIS drivers please e-mail me at KRASKO379@AOL.COM joe

I purchased a set of 4 small his screw drivers from Granger. They were around $14.95 and I drove over and picked them up within two or three days.Although not well advertised, one can simply walk in to your nearest Granger, and they do take credit cards, i.e. you do NOT have to have "business account".
I sent 2 links in an email for the jis screwdrivers
Here is one of several threads on JIS and Pozidriv screwdrivers.
