Engine is item#30-28371. To access the loose light bulb I tried to remove the 8 body mount screws. They are tight. Half are stripped. They turned a little at a time but it is difficult.  I used labelle 108 oil to lubricate them, but it is a challenge. Any suggestions?  Is it hard to find screws to replace these?

These screws look like Phillips, but are not. They are JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) which are used on virtually anything made west of Hawaii. Phillips screwdrivers will cam out when used on these screws and often ruin the screw. If you don't have JIS screwdrivers buy a set. I gave 3 of my train friends each a set this past Xmas. They were made in the USA by Moody and about $20 for a 4 piece set. Pozidriv screwdrivers will work in a pinch. They can be had from Whia.

Thank you Modeltrainsparts. I have those JIS screwdrivers for this purpose. The screws are "spent". I must have tried loosening them a few years ago before I had these JIS screwdrivers which I purchased on recommendation from this forum. So after they are finally removed I need replacement screws. If anyone knows the size of these screws and where they are available that would be a help. Doubt MTH parts will have them. Meanwhile the old ones need to be removed so I can replace the bulb.
