Need to repair a couple 70's Lionel boxes...

I picked up a great pair 70's era of F3's, but the window panes in the old boxes are coming off. Any suggestions on the best way to re-attach them???

arlenes white craft glue-walmart-michaels-gold plastic bottle -cheap-good for fixing split cardboard seams too-water soluable

run a bead -thin -of the glue down 1v side and lay plastic window down-if you do not lay windowown flat -edges will have a ripple-any glue that gets on clear window-use semi damp cloth and wipe off.
