It should be noted that a few of us have had trouble updating through the iOS app. The App is not connecting to the Base3 in AP mode when set for updating (pushing the gear when powering Base3). I had to use the Base3 utility.
The App connects fine when the Base3 is not in update mode. @Dave Olson

Marty? The update to the BASE3 was successful using the BASE3 Utility? In doing so, is there a need to do the AP setting, et al?
Yes and I connected my PC to the Base in AP mode. Worked fine.
Download the update before switching to AP mode. Then change the PCs network to the Base3's AP.

I had the same problem when trying to update the base from my iPhone. I suspect the recent change to the Cab3 app that prevents it from saying it's connected when there is no Base 3 on the network (remember the post from the guy on the cruise ship a few weeks back?) didn't account for connecting the Cab3 app to the Base 3 when it (the Base 3) is in firmware update mode.
I was able to upgrade from the B3SU just fine...

What he said. It does appear to be associated with the app. I suspect we'll see an update sooner than later. Yes it's bad that it isn't working but cool it can be fixed with an update.

Thanks Marty. I successfully updated to the latest firmware using the Base 3 Utility. I completely forgot about this as being an option.
Same here Lionel. Updated the android phone app on my phone and tablet, silly me. Neither item saw the base 3 when I went to the firmware update page. Luckily I had the laptop with me to update the clubs engine list. Laptop B3SU program worked OK.
