@Stefan...thanks for the infos, it is stated on the Bush website that this catalog do not contains all the new upcoming MTH models..look like they rushed it to be ready for February 1st. (Nurnberg Toy Fair and not OGR new forum format....hehehe)

Is the Chapelon not part of the second run of this engine..MTH website has it as TBA

Wonder if the Dash 8 is not a misprint/ miscommunication and suppose to be the Dash 9 soon to be released.

Good news about the Taurus (not even in the MTH 2012 I catalog)..holding my thumbs for an OBB Railjet version..

A bit suspicious about the Maggi Reefer...don't know if Maggi ever had one of these since their products are all dry goods who don't need refrigeration.

By the way are the Swiss Beer reefer and boxcar finally available in Switzerland...as well as the Traxx ??

And in case you have the chance of going to the Toy Fair, have a great visit there.

Sincerely
Hi Stefan,

Have fun at the Toy Fair! Please check out the new MTH display layouts in their booth. My crew and I worked overtime back in December to get them built in time for Toy Fair. We had to ship them out by mid December to have enough time for the layouts to reach Germany and clear customs.

We built a very simple O scale layout...

And a more complex HO layout...

If you have a chance, I'd really appreciate some photos of the layouts set up in the MTH booth.

Thanks,
Stefan: When you are at the Lenz booth could you please ask them if their newly announced Br 50 will be able to run on their R1 [ < 1m ] curves. I'm curious about that, and it's not on their website.

Best regards as usual, SZ

[ The Br 50 is a 2-10-0; if it can handle scale 2 rail curves of about 36" radius I consider that noteworthy. It's also being offered with regular, tub, and cabin ( = ultra-doghouse ) tender varients. No wonder MTH didn't announce any new-tooling Euro items.]

Are the layout coming back to the US once the show is over..?

Hi Lafondue,

We used Busch scenery products almost exclusively on the display layouts. This will allow the layouts to fit in with other Busch displays if the layouts are ever used in Busch's booth at an event.

As far as I know, MTH intends to keep the layouts in Europe. We installed step down transformers and multi-adapter plugs so that the layouts can be plugged in anywhere in continental Europe or the UK.

Dave, I will be at the MTH booth for sure! I have a meeting with Mike on friday 1:00pm. I'm sure I will get a chance to check your layouts out and hopefully get a few shoots for you. From what I can see in the pictures, these two layouts look great! Are you also in the picture with the people in it?

Great! I look forward to seeing some photos.

Sure!

This is the first time we've done a layout and not been able to attend it first operating session.  I'm a little nervous because there were a lot of unusual details about the setup procedures.  We just want everything to go smoothly.  Look for the "flag pole" attached to the O-scale display.  Make sure Mike installed the rubber baby buggy bumper.  If you see it, this will make sense.

Hi Dave, and everyone who is interested in European Trains,

I returned from Toy Fair in Nurnberg. I saw Daves work on the Busch and MTH booth. The H0 layout looks quiet nice and the 0 scale layout is amazing! I know I promised you pictures but I left them at work, but I will post them on the weekend. Also MTH had many new european cars on their booths, all new paint schemes, but no new tooling.

Regards, Stefan
