I missed out on the previous version of these, especially NKP765 with the special crew talk. This is something that I really want, but I have some reservations with spending so much money, but will probably be my only steamer for my layout. Is there any details that I am missing on this item except for Mr. Melvin's crew talk. It has the whistle steam, all diecast, but with a Bluetooth tender. Any help or thoughts would be appreciated. Ordering deadline is 10/4.

$1199 is not to bad for the 765. Used ones have been selling for that or more
If you really want it... get it. After they are gone they are hard to come by, especially since the 765 has allot of fan fare.
If you are patient, you can buy one for less than $500 in five to ten years. If that sounds like a prison sentence, it's because it will be like one if you're the typical gotta-have-it-now model railroader.

I keep thinking about getting the NKP 767 since the 765 was renumbered 767 last year when I rode behind it. Also since I have MTH's version of the 765 on my layout, don't want two of the same road number
