I got a couple new items over the past couple weeks for my CSX fleet.

The first is an MTH SD60M, Premier Line. This engine is an odd case because it originally had PS1 in it, but at some point a previous owner stripped out the electronics and installed very simply, Lionel like conventional controls with a horn that sounds like a buzzer (kind of like the older Lionel diesels that were put out in the 80's and 90's before TMCC). It still runs really good aside from that. I may have someone install TMCC into it so that I can run it with my remote. It's also had a whole lot of extra detail parts added on to it so it looks much more realistic then it would have when it was originally made, plus it has been slightly weathered as well. Another change is that the windows on the cab have been tinted, as per what they would be like on the prototype.

There are a couple of changes I'm going to do to this unit. First, I'm going to paint the roof of the engine white (which is correct for all CSX units) and I will also be renumbering this unit to 8756. I have another CSX SD60M which is a twin to this one...I already gave it the white roof and I'll be renumbering it as well. The number that both of these units wear are not correct for the SD60I's in CSX's fleet, the real 8711 is a standard cab SD60 (Ex-Conrail).

The second item, which I just got today, is a Lionel CSX Family Lines Heritage Ca-4 caboose. This is a really nice caboose, and is the second one I've ever bought (the other one being the Lionel Norfolk Southern Pennsylvania Railroad Heritage caboose). As per with most of these cabooses it has lights, and a smoke unit in the stack for the heater.
The only downside to buying this is, like in the case of the PRR caboose, I now want to find the matching CSX Family Lines AC6000CW to go with it...
Maybe I can get to finding it once I have some more spare money.

Finally the last item is an Atlas O Trainman 40ft. box car which originally was painted in Central RR of New Jersey colors...but as you can see in the photo, the previous owner had tried to put a graffiti job on it, but never finished it (the lettering on the other side which I'm not showing you was even spelled wrong...). So I took it home, stripped the paint off and hit it with a few coats of Testors dark brown spray paint. My plan is to decal this car for the Gainesville Midland Railroad, which is a short line that runs in my town (now under CSX ownership, now called the Gainesville Midland Sub (Gainesville GA to Athens GA.)). This will be my first Gainesville Midland car in O-scale, and this is also my first custom paint and decal job I've ever done in O-scale.

Just wanted to share these with all of yall!
