Last night something told me to go see Bill and Jean down at Hollish in Riverview. We didn't have much splurge money but we went, if anything, to just say hi and Merry Christmas and see how they were doing and what was new in the store. Oh boy I'm glad we did. I found these two jems in the used section and immediately snatched them up plus a stock car for $5 to go with the wife's Old West set. Went a bit over budget but if I waited, they would have been gone next time we could get back down. My first two O guage ARR rolling stock to get me started on my Alaska collection.

Merry Christmas to you as well Brent. Bill and his wife pick up collections and then after some mathematics they are able to sell the stuff fairly cheap. A lot of it in the price range we can afford right now. He even has some motive power under $200 that some of them haven't even been run yet. It's a small shop run out of their home and I really enjoy supporting lhs's.

Nice find.   I'm a big ARR fan.  Welcome to the fold!

I lived in Wasilla a few years back in the 90's. Love the 80's yellow and blue scheme.  Very hard to mask in N scale lol. Had to paint most of my roster back then as there wasn't much available in the ARR livery. Still getting used to the new scheme, but love seeing those SD70's mixed in with my favorite geeps the 38's &40's.

SP is my other favorite from living in Tucson for many years. Loved those big gunship grey with bloody nosed SD40's, 45's with the tunnel motors.
