The layout is looking good. You've got a lot accomplished. Please keep us posted on your progress.
The photos do an excellent job in telling your layout story. Like your waterways, tug boat and bridges.
Thank you all for the great comments, all these idea's for my layout came from this forum and it's member's. I been watching and reading for about 5 year's and I am just glad that I'm moving forward and can share my progress with all of you. My son Alex said thanks to.
WOW…….. very nice……. thank's for posting……...
Nice job!
What did you use for the bridge piers to look like stone blocks?
Tom
Tom the brick came from Lowe's but they have stop selling it I am searching for some more my self. #0255450 12X12 grout less tiles. Model #20-656 the brick itself is 1\4" by 1/2" long I got the idea from another Forum Member.
Wow! This is amazing! What did you use for the water? I love the look. Can't wait to see more. Thank you for sharing.

Nice work and great photos. Its good to see your son helping to. You did have me worried when I seen your layout on the milk crates, glad you framed a table for it. Lots of area to work with and really dig the Santa Fe tugboat. Keep us updated on progress. Nick

Here is some pic from today, thanks Rich I followed your lead on the brick but Lowe's has stopped selling it. Bummed out about that but I am looking for someone else that maybe selling it. Also did not know about they Atlas track shortage until last week, a buddy of mine needed some 40" so I check the stock had some for him 20pcs he was happy I told him, Anything For You that is my motto. The pic are of what most of my bench work is and some of the track for the three main lines.

Charles, very nice. What size is the layout? Please keep us posted.
Rick
Thanks, Donna and Rick.
Charles,
I just saw your topic for the first time. Your layout is looking good so far! I look forward to following your progress!
I like the the milk crates and buckets. They would be ample support for a layout I would build. I am building a 4x8 on a sturdy folding table.
I also like the novel idea of using milk crates and crates for supports. I was looking for a few Atlas switches a while back and they were tough to find. Now I know why! Great work. You have skills.
WoW!!
I wish I had that much room to play with.
Your layout is awesome.
Keep the updates coming.
Can't wait to see it grow.
Had to replace some S curves, found out that the Acela does not like them, I hope to run it one day soon here is some pics.

Charles,
Yes some equipment just doesn't like curves like that. Looks like most anything will handle the main line now!!

Charles,
Thanks for posting the photos of your progress. Looks like you will have room for lots of railroading action! What are the wooden pieces you have raising the back track in the first two photos? Something you have re-purposed? I really like the bridges also!
Holy cow now that's a good start to a layout going back to mine now in envy LOL
Charles7777,
Looks like a serious engineering project, congrats on a fine job so far!

Looking good, really like the bridges and the trackwork, keep up the great work!
That is looking spectacular! As a fan of bridges myself, I like what you have done on your layout!!
