Scraped & cleaned the existing lumber in the yard & then flipped it over. It will work fine, especially after I add some additional material on top.

I remember i scraped mine once. the time and effort was more that the new one. lesson learned. (in my case was possible flip over).

Excellent!

Spence - It looks really good, but it also made me really tired.
That's the same emotion I always get after looking at Elliot's massive layout project. It looks really good, but so much work ahead.

I didn't realize you had so much room. That's going to be great Spence! Terry
I must have missed some earlier talk. Why you doing this, Spence?

Spence,
Great idea buddy, why discard when you can recycle and reuse!

Way to go Spence, I used all of my old lumber from my layout!!!!
Alex
nothing like a blank canvas..or sheet of plywood.
Flipping the sheets over is a very smart idea...no waste!! Spence, you have a huge area for the yard and the layout overall is GRAND!!

Attaboy, Spence. I don't buy into this throwaway society, either.
Spence - I too used every piece of wood that I had on my previous layout. I hadn't done any scenery on mine so I didn't have to turn it over. And we had built it in modules so it came up the old basement stairs and down the new ones just fine.
