New Member w/ Kusan Questions

It's been a while since I've read a Kusan history, so the details might be a bit foggy, but this is one of the later production items from Kusan, at a time when they were struggling to keep up with Lionel. This was an attempt at capturing the entry-level market. Outside of that article, I've never seen one of these sets. It's pretty rare – but not very valuable.

Can anyone else add / correct some details?

Yes, I can see your point re. "entry level"...very basic.

I scanned the catalog/operators manual and uploaded it to my hosting site. Here's a pic of the cover page and a link to the entire catalog. Hopefully this can help someone nail down a time frame.

Thanks Steve. That date makes it nostalgic for me...I hit the dirt about that time.

Any ideas on someone who might have parts/bodies for that style rolling stock?
