I pre-ordered the MTH propane turbine, 20-20359-1, and have been impatiently waiting for MTH to ship it.  I wrote MTH about two weeks ago and received the very nice answer below.  When I wrote MTH, the web site still listed a June 2014 shipping date.  I must admit that I'm skeptical about the new projected shipping date, but at least, I can adjust my expectations as to whether the turbine will ship in a few weeks or several months.

Dear Mr. Pitcairn,

Thank you for your online submission expressing your interest in learning when the below cited item will be arriving.  We certainly appreciate your interest in our Premier Line locomotive releases and look forward to your continued support of M.T.H. Electric Trains.

The Union Pacific Propane Turbine is currently slated for production next month with delivery expected in late December 2014 or early January 2015.  While this news is certainly disappointing considering the most recent release date is listed as June 2014 on the M.T.H. website, we're confident this Proto-Sound 3.0 equipped model will be well worth the wait.

Sincerely, M.T.H. Customer Service

There are live steam O-scale locos, of course. Not that rare, really.

Now, if someone (Lee?) would locate or build the smallest gas turbine ever (utilize a motorcycle turbo!), and actually put a pressurized propane tender behind it....I mean, you can get propane at a convenience store.

What could possibly go wrong?

Anxiously awaiting YouTube videos. Or CNN reports.
