OK folks this is a big one!  We'll be showing this at the Legacy Users Group meeting but it's gone "LIVE" so check it out!

What's New in Version 3.1

Additional new track "Y" pieces
Ability to copy user's custom control panels between iPads via WiFi
Miscellaneous bug fixes

Updated Help System

This is what many users have asked for. I've been bouncing layouts back and forth between iPads.  Now when you have multiple iPads, you can easily share your layout to the other iPads without having to build it on each one.  You can copy as long as the 2 iPads are on the same network.  I did this at work.

Check it out...

I see it was pushed yesterday the 8th. Looks good, now I can build my yard.

LCS 4-9-15

You can see the yard above.

Also, the two different curve don't nest well, we need a third in between size.

I am also requesting the option to set the switch diverging route green and the strait thru to red.

I only have one iThingy so the ability to push the layout will only be good for club meets.

I like the LCS app because I can hand the iPad to anyone and they can control the layout.  No memorizing switch numbers.  I can also project the layout from the iPad on to the wall(with additional AV equipment).  If there are two iPads operating on a layout will any change by one be reflected on the other?

Good to see the update.

Dan

That is one I've been asking for since LCS was introduced.

They keep updating so who knows what will be next.  The sharing was a pretty big issue for folks so that to me is a big addition.

not intending to hi jack post.

I have to ask this just how many mobile devices can be used by visiting folks before they get confused?

like the cab-2 can be confused if one is running same engine using cab-1.

also I see a need for a tracking device to ward off possible collisions while one is looking at the devices screen.

hey not trying to flame troll or? but am thinking the what ifs when one is distracted doing something on the device while engines are running.

is there someplace that in a manual already discusses this in detail?

the ability to copy from one device to another is great so 3.1 is a huge step forward.

15 is what I understand either CAB2, CAB1L or iDevices total.

Just like driving and texting, maybe you shouldn't run trains and transfer.  There is only so much they can do.  Some responsibility is on the user.  That's my stand not Lionel's.  Maybe if they had these in cars there would be less fatalities.

Each users has to take it upon themselves to safely operate their trains while using the App.  Again my stance.  I don't speak for Lionel.  But the transfer process IMO would be done before trains are operated.

I don't think so.  I just think it's good practice to responsibly use the app's transfer capabilities when one is not operating the layout.  Again sort of like driving and texting.

Yep  For sure.

I could not get this to work with 270 objects, I see now when trying only 3 objects, it works. What is the limit on # of objects???
