Could be just my monitor or their camera setting, but the rendering of the Red color looks orange-ish. Some so-called "red" LEDs don't have that deep red color. Likewise some "green" LEDs don't have that deep green color (they look more yellow-green or slime green). I suppose the LEDs can be replaced if need be as the value is in the structure.

I've purchased lots of stuff on eBay from China, even more stuff from the US that was made in China. I've gotten it all and there have been no special issues with the stuff direct from China. It doesn't come as fast, but it's not an emergency.quote:Originally posted by pennsyk4:

Although we haven't ordered anything from this particular vendor, we have ordered a few things from other similiar Chinese vendors. What shocked me was the quick delivery (less than two weeks) for the items from China to Maryland!
I have had We Honest bookmarked for some brick sheets for a scratchbuild project that I want to do over the winter.
You really can't go wrong with PayPal and using a credit card. If the product isn't delivered, you get your account credited.

I've bought from a number of sellers from China. I had an issue with one item broken but got my money back so I'm 100% good. I got a bag of figures for about 5 cents each and they were a good deal. Lots of other stuff.....I may get a few of these.

These people are very keen to do business and understand the importance of good service. I lived and worked in Asia, I had some very good business relationships with Chinese companies, there are dishonest dealers all over the world, I've had more bum deals off Australians, Americans and British.
Thoughts -
Very quick shipping from China...maybe less than a week?
Quality - not bad...maybe a 7 on a scale of 1 to 10.
The only other brick sheets I've purchased were from N Scale architect. The ones from We Honest were a little thicker...maybe 0.03" to 0.035", but the bricks were well defined and crisp. The bricks were crips throughout the sheet. Some of the N scale Archtect bricks get a little less defined on the edges. The overall size was smaller than the sheets from N Scale architect, maybe 8" x 10". I haven't painted them so I haven't seen how they look finished.
The styrene used might be a little softer than say Evergreen stryrene? When using the score and snap method of cutting I've had to clean up some edges with sand paper. Not a big deal though, still able to cut via score and snap without a problem.
With the extra thickness, window and door openings are a little tougher to cut out than the N Scale Architect sheets. But, for background buildings, the price can't be beat. It works out to about $5 per sheet...cheapest around.
I'm probably going to stick with N Scale Architect sheets for forground buildings as they are a little easier to work with (being a little thinner). But, will use the We Honest ones for large expanses of background brick structures for cost.

I've bought from them several times - no problems, fast delivery.

What triggers the aspects to change?
Can they be used on 18 volts?

If you get a chance, we'd like to hear a review of them, when they come in.
I'm thinking that the HO versions would be the right size for a subway system.
Thanks!
Thanks for sharing your experience with the brick sheets!
Jim
Now, if you want SUPER DETAIL this isn't great. But for the money its great! I plan on wiring mine up simply to looks like trackside structures with a light on. Mine won't switch or anything fancy. If thats all you want then you cannot beat these!
I'm pretty sure I ordered a set of 20 streetlights from these same guys for about the same price! I'll let you guys know when they come in.
Oh, and I'll try to take a pic when I get home.
To use the 3 aspects properly, i suspect i'm going to have to do some reverse engineering of an MTH 3 aspect signal's guts. Of course, my circuit board won't be as small as the MTH one . Or, I'll have to use the circuit board from an Atlas O 3 aspect signal(type G or D)
I am satisfied with the quality and construction, and may buy more itemsfrom this manufactuer in the future.

The signals are just that- signals. there are no electronics, just the LEDs and a dropping resistor for each one. You have to provide the means to switch the leds on / off. simplest way is an insulated rail and a spdt relay.
Can you explain this a bit more? How would I wire this? Sorry, I'm kind of dumb when it comes to this.
Can the guys who bought these post some pics?
Hi
The We Honest guys sell control boards for flashing signals. The indicate that they are
not for not suitable for common anode or common cathode crossing signals.
What is a common anode/cathode signal?
thanks
ralph
Ralph, the crossing signals use either common cathode or common anode connections to the LEDs to save wiring. The Wehonest boards are set up to supply power to the anode and ground to the cathode of individual LEDs. hope this explains the warning--
You might want to take a look at these Signal Controls from wehonest as well. A pair of these costs $27 with shipping, and I just tested them with the signals mentioned. They work great, a nice cheap way to have some signals on the layout. They also sell them in lots of 5.
Price of ebay item 150649187481 is $19.71 USD. Plus shipping. or about $4.00 USD each.
I like buying direct. Though I think it isn't great for our favorite US O scale shops that the China manufactures are finding ways to sell direct. I pity the day some one in China offers a direct sale of fine brass O scale steam engines. It's only a matter of time....
It's national competition. It's great! The best part is we (the USA) started it!

And here's the eBay item 150641118076 that is the dwarf signal to match.

WE Honest sell at really cheap prices. I have some of their boulevard lights.
However, as to scale and resemblance to US products they are just slightly off! Also what they sell is interpretations of what they must see as scale.
They do not look good next to really nice scaled signals. So place them in spots that are not focal points of the layout.
Further if you purchase their crossing signals you need to buy flasher and sound circuits separately. Otherwise they are okay.
