I have a Lionel GP9 Cab #2380 Product code 6-1956 with TMCC the horn and bell work fine in conventional mode. However they don't work in TMCC, the engine runs the lights work but no horn or bell. I've tried reprograming using the steps outlined in the manual but no luck. Has anyone run into this?

Did you put in the AUX-1 code for the engine? You need one more digit in your product number.
That's not a Lionel product number, but I'll make the logical leap that you're referring to the 6-11956 Union Pacific GP-9 Lash-up which contained a 6-18854 UP GP-9 locomotive.
As Marty stated above, you'll definitely want to perform a "restore" of the LCRU2 board contained therein -- use the "5" code. I don't believe this information was included in the original instruction manual for these units, so I hope you're doing the right thing. If you're unsure, use the procedure shown in this link:

If that doesn't fix things, then you'll need to provide more information.

I have this engine, it is 18563, Put in program mode, press eng and assign it a number, press set, Aux1 #5 for diesel, press set and put back into run mode. Give it a try, should work for you.

I guess we can assume that the above suggestion hasn't been tried yet...

Sorry for the delay in responding but I've been down with the flu. I did take the suggest and it's back to its old self, Sound, lights, and motion.
