Non Warranty Lionel Repairs

I have 2 engines that I cannot repair. I am not sure what is wrong. One is a TMCC Dash 9 and the other is the Century Club GG1. Lionel stated they will not be accepting out of warranty work until April, First it was March, now they are telling me April.

Any forum sponsors or members certified to handle the electronic repairs? Both engines wont move at all, they just light up. I tried resetting, and everything else I can think of. They wont even run in Conventional.

Does Lionel ever announce these service nuances officially to all consumers?  Or is this only told to folks who call in for service?  And then word spreads through the grapevine.  Did they state WHY they're not accepting non-warranty work?  Overburdened with warranty work?   Still overburdened with holiday-related service work?

Lots of questions.

Hopefully some of the service techs on the forum can help you out.
