NS Releases Savannah and Atlanta Unit

I also would like to have seen the Southern unit in the tuxedo scheme.

Gotta give credit to the RRs for doing this, it must not be cheap to paint these.

A figure I heard about 20 years ago was about $5000 per locomotive.  I imaging you can just about double that now.  (Where's Earl Scheib when you need him?)

here is the savannah and atlanta..................

First (?) of the EMD's - now, where are my Lightning Stripes? Of course, a GE unit
would be more appropriate for the NYC, what with GE beginning in Schenectady,
along with Alco, and the GE's still having a little Alco DNA running around. (Listen
to one crank up.)

I'm also a little peeved about NS canceling the TA&G scheme - and so should Lionel/MTH
be, as I planned to purchase one in each scheme (one by L/one by M). So, NYC only.
Saved me some money.

If my information is correct, the 1066 is slated to be the New York Central unit so it should be the next one introduced.
