NS Stripes???

I can't see the problem and I have seen the real NS SD45s. Here is a pic I took in 1984.

The stripes look fine to me but the bell is on the wrong end!

They got it right, these Lionel units represent the ex-N&W units that were set up short hood forward.

I guess I’m wrong. It sure looked like the stripes are supposed to taper on the opposite end of the letters.

When the new "horsehead logo" was introduced in 2004 the stripes were tapered from then on. They were always straight from 1983 to 2004.

There are many variations of the NS Logo.  Stripes that are long, short, straight, tapered.  Then there are some with and without the horse head too.
