My RS-11 is making a squeak from within the cab. Can someone tell me what srews to remove to be able seperate the cab from the frame of the locomotive.

If you have the owner’s manual, there is a page with an illustration of the undercarriage, showing the placement of the body mount screws.

Thank you both. I had tried those screws before but the cab seemed to still be attached to the frame. I did not want to use more force for fear of damaging the cab. Once I received your responses I decided to pry the cab off the frame. It turned out that the cab was was secured with double sided tape. Once the cab was removed I was able to apply a little oil to the motor shaft and resolve my problem. All is well. Thanks again.

Just be aware that when you separate the shell from the chassis, there are two lamp/lighting contacts with tiny springs attached to the shell that can pop out when the shell is separated from the chassis. The squeaking you are hearing could be a motor or drive bearing; also, make sure you check the magnet at the top of the motors as these have been known to disintegrate as well.
