O-Gauge Models of R.J. Corman Locomotives

To my knowledge, no manufacturer has produced models of the Chinese steam locomotives in O Scale, yet. The Iowa Interstate RR also has two of the same type Chinese 2-10-2s as the R.J.Corman "Old Smoky", as Mr. Corman calls it.

I wish that I had not mentioned the steam loco.

Much more interested in their diesel and rolling stock roster.

I'm sure one or more of the O gauge manufacturers will release Corman power at some point.

Lionel did a couple of uncatalogued RJ Corman boxcars for the LCCA in 1999. They were numbered 4001 and 4002 (Lionel stock numbers 6-4001 and 6-4002).

WBB NEEDS to make models of both SY and QJ steamers in both Meiguo (US) and Chinese versions.

On the roster of my railroad's HO Division is Bachmann's model of the NYS&W 142, an SY Class 2-8-2. It may very well be the best detailed plastic HO steam locomotive I've ever seen. I imagine an O scale model would be impressive as well.

I had Jeff Shon custom paint a MTH, G- 38-2, power unit this past December. I painted  the dummy unit this spring after Jeff had stop Painting.  I have also painted some gondolas for hauling sand, which R.J. Corman hauls from Louisville to Frankfort and Lexington Ky. I tried to get elevation drawings of the QJ to build a model.  I got lots of Christmas cards from the importer, but it is possible that they did not understand my request.  At least they answered me.  Their English is way better than my Chinese.  They sell whistles and stuff.  I guess I will stick to the SP "decks".

Here are pictures of the engine Jeff painted. I did the dummy engine , a caboose and 3 Gondolas. The Gondolas were early Atlas Junkers I rebuilt. I got the Decals that are used on the engines and the dimensional data from parts of decal sets. ( finally -AKay - learned how to post pictures!) Thanks AC for your help! Bill .
