O Scale label for K Line SP GS 4

Purchased a train collection and need clarification with K Line box marking of O scale. This Daylight engine appears to be well made, sounds great and can pull 20 plus cars. However it is smaller in size when compared to a MTH or Williams Daylight O scale (1:48) 3 rail. What is the true scale of the above engine? Appreciate the imput!
