I just got done with run 270 and as always, great job guys. I enjoyed reading the Williams RS3 review by George Brown. I am a huge Williams fan and George Brown did a fantastic review article. George answered all the questions I would like to have answered. These locomotives should be a great seller for WBB. Great article George.

Would be nice if they did a LIRR RS3.

I second the WBB LIRR RS-3 request!!
I agree it was a good review and it made me think of how lucky I am to have bought the K-Line version with TMCC, Railsounds, and smoke. It is good to see the old K-line molds getting a new life.
I noticed the color thing as well. What I don't understand is why at list price of over $400 one would buy such a basic model? I looked for the price in the review but did not find it.Fred
I liked the review a lot, too, because I had questions about the new Williams sound boards and how their diesel sounds operated and compared to other systems. the review did a good job of explaining the pros and cons of the Williams system.
If you Google the product you will find the street price is more like $270.
Weaver model is much more accurate than WBB/K-Line and has more features. It's also considerably more expensive.
I paid around $260 for my RS3. It's a nice model and the paint and lettering is very nice. The sound system is a nice upgrade to the previous WBB bell and horn. The diesel sound could be a little louder. It pulls well and the slow speed is pretty good. I'm very happy with this locomotive.

I almost bought one today at Nassau Hobby. It is a sweet looking engine and runs smooth as silk.
I decided to pass because I really need to focus on track. Maybe later this year...
I got one from Mario's Trains off ebay for $229. Looks as though they may have gone up some since the new catalog was released, but his prices on ebay are still less than what you all have posted. Thanks.
I too got my SEABOARD RS-3 from Mario's Trains. He has done well for me in some other purchases and I like their packaging. I have a Chocolate Lab that likes to tear open packages if UPS or FED-EX leaves them at the door without ringing the bell.
Mario's wife took my order and she too liked the way the SEABOARD looked !!!
Plus I am a softee when it comes to rail lines ACL and SEABOARD, and the Florida State lines even though I live in the Midwest.
I just received the RS-3 and it is one nice lookin locomotive.Iplan to run it tonight with my son
