My neighbor lady showed me this train last night. It was her late father's uncle's train. The box is in very poor condition, but the train appears to be in pretty good shape. The diecast loco has a bell. The mechanism appears to be locked up, but I didn't take time to examine it further.
She is not interested in getting rid of it, but just wants some information as to when it was made and what its value might be. She would also like to clean it up and wants to know what the best practices are for cleaning these lithographed cars.
