I bought this engine & tender several years ago and just got it out to run for my grandson and I find that there is a cable between the engine and tender that I do not have. It is a cable extension connector 610-8010-065 and I've searched the Lionel site with no joy. Does anyone know where I might find one of these cables?

What is the product number of the locomotive?

Sounds like 18010 turbine. I doubt you are going to find one this late. Probably your best bet is modifying a MTH proto 1 tender tether.
If what you are trying to fix is the 6-18010 full scale turbine go to Lionel support.com/replacement parts , do a search by the product number (6-18010) and you will find an exploded view of that engine. They have separate pages for engine and tender. The tender exploded view shows the male plug assembly so I assume it is still available. You should be able to search for parts for most older Lionel engines as well. Good luck with your search.

Here is the parts breakdown showing what I understand to be the extension cable being sought:
A search of the lionelsupport.com listing does not even call out the part:
Searching for the part by number brings no results. It seems as if this is going to be a tough one to find...

Sure it isn't tucked up under the cab? I don't recall it being a separate cable from the loco.

I looked to see how many pins the plug had and sure enough, the cable was curled up inside the cab.

Thank you all for the help.
