I have several engine tracks that will be controlled through on/off switches, with only one or two tracks on/hot at any one time.  Most are around a turntable, and the rest are in a yard-like area.  One PH180 will be more than enough power for all these short tracks; I may use my old PH135 for this.  Since I have more of these tracks than should be put on one channel, I am going to power two channels with one transformer.  A quick search brought up several posts indicating this is doable, but none stated how to connect them.  I think there are only two options:

1.  Wire from the 180's outputs to one TIU channel's inputs, then wire from those TIU's inputs to the other channel.

2.  One set of wires from the 180's output to one channel, and another set of wires from the 180's output to the second channel.

Is one way better than the other?  Thanks.

Ron
