I have recently placed the Lionel locomotive backshop on my layout. It is setup to be TMCC command controlled. My layout is Lionel Legacy and MTH DCS controlled. I have a couple of questions about operations.
1. The Legacy controller will activate this accessory and it will shut it down. The DIR control is supposed to operate the doors, but the button has no effect. Is there some subtle difference in the signal of the DIR control for the CAB1 and the CAB2?
2. When I cycle the unit on which applies track power to the backshop, there is a buzzing sound. I haven't been able to locate the source of the buzzing. Any ideas?
3. In another thread about the backshop, there was mention of a Lionel recall that installed a replacement board. Is the board or the service still available? I broke the seals on the box when I installed it on my layout, so I am satisfied that this backshop has not been opened or used before I put it in operation.
