Passive wiring question

I am wondering can I simply use jumpers from the TIU to the corresponding post on the ZW-L

That's how I would do it.

Hi Chris,

For best results, try to keep the "jumpers" relatively short.  If you can keep the total length from the TIU to the ZW-L to the terminal blocks under 8 ft you should have few if any problems.  Beyond 8 ft. it will still work, but the chances of having a trouble spot somewhere on the layout starts going up.

hmm that may be a problem. As it is now it's about 9-10 feet from the ZW to the center of my layout where I put the terminal blocks. Well guess I will give it a try and see what happens

FWIW, my layout breaks this guideline in 3 or 4 instances, with absolutely no adverse effect on the DCS signal at all.

If I had to I could move the power closer to the center, but it will block the path on the side more than I like.

You should be fine Chris.  When you said the jumpers may be "long" I figured it was worth chiming in.  If you were talking 25 or 30 feet I'd be concerned.
