After reading a post in the Amtrak Genesis thread referencing the repeated production of EMD F-units, it got me wondering if any O-gauge manufacturer offered Penn Central black F-units. IMO, their black F's looked sinister and fantastic.

I don't even know if there is a market for Penn Central equipment.

How about the most colorful F's PC had?

Yep - ex-Rio Grande. PC ran four of them for a couple of years in DRGW paint before they were repainted black plus I believe they also saw service with Conrail.

Just found an image of the full A-B-B-A set, link can be found here:  http://trains-and-locomotives....Ex_DRGW)_F_units.jpg

I did those F units......well those units a few weeks earlier!!!!

I have this set - on purpose; I may remove the Penn Central markings and substitute the even smaller "CR" for Conrail which appeared on some/all PC diesels before the blue repaints. I also have a Weaver UP AA E-8 set that is on the list for the PC or CR repaint/decaling.

There is a myth that all of us want "bright colors" on our diesels, when the opposite is true for many of us. These sell also. They are realistic, too. And just more imposing.

I have only one - 1 - diesel in the ATSF "Warbonnet" scheme (an MTH DL109) and it almost got repainted recently (I repainted a Milwaukee DL109 instead).
