Just got this engine. It's a MTH Premier H-9 consolidation with PS 3.
Great sound, awesome smoke output and a fine runner.

I have one of these, second-hand, came lettered for the Illinois Central, but I intend to change that to the New York Central and make a few NYC-detail changes. These (actually) Western Maryland 2-8-0's are very similar in look to the actual NYC large Consolidations, but a few details could make them look even more similar (pilot, for starters, and a few more changeable things). The NYC 2-8-0's never had 12-wheel tenders, but the tender shape is very similar to the smaller 8-wheel tenders that they did have.
Anyway, you are right, a very nice piece.
