Hi Everyone!!  The Mid-America 3-Railers have been growing by leaps and bounds and we now have over 60 members including spouses and children!  Our second get together was in St. Louis this past weekend, February 4th and 5th.  Alex and Judy (IngenieroNo.1) worked very hard to make it a success and it showed as we all had a great time.  We all started Saturday morning by attending The Great Train Expo which was held at the St. Charles Convention Center in St. Louis.  From there we went to the Texas Roadhouse for a great Lunch and welcoming meeting for the members that were present.  After that we visited Scott Miller's layout in his outstanding 1952 mid-century modern home..... the layout, his home and his hospitality were top notch.  From Scott's home, we traveled to Alex and Judy Muller's residence.  Alex and Judy have a large and lovely home situated on a lake.  My wife and I had the honor of being their guests both Friday and Saturday.  The layout occupies most of the basement and as you all know from previous pictures Alex has posted here on the forum, his layout is shaping up to be a work of art. After we toured the layout, Judy invited everyone upstairs where she prepared enough food and snacks to feed the entire city!!  Judy is a wonderful cook!  Below are pictures of our event in order from our luncheon, to Scott's layout, and then to separate the pictures of the two layouts, I inserted the photos of the group enjoying Judy's food followed by Alex's layout photos.  Thanks to everyone that came to this event and thanks to the layout hosts....all of us appreciated the hard work and planning that went into making this a great get together of our Mid-America 3-Railer group.  We are always looking for new members and remember...membership is free!!  Just contact me if you are interested...  Enjoy the snapshots.....

  Thanks,

Alan

Alan,

Thank you for posting those nice pictures!

It was great having all such nice people visit our home; Judy and I thoroughly enjoyed it and had a great time. Not shown in the pictures that were taken Saturday night, Dennis and Sandy Brennan also visited us Friday night.

I took only a few pictures at the restaurant.

Alex... thanks for adding your great pictures.  Sandy and Dennis had left before I could get pictures of everyone during your layout tour.  Thanks to you and Judy for such a fantastic job of making our meeting so enjoyable.....hey, is there any of Judy's chocolate cake left.  If so, send some warmed up for 5-10 seconds in the microwave!!

Alan
