Polar Express™ LIONEL AND AMERICAN FLYER PRE-ORDER AT PATRICK'S TRAINS

I think this Polar express engine will be better than the last one due to it will have the correct cow-catcher on the front. I am talking about the O scale. What do you guys think?

I'm very happy for all those that are going to get their chance to purchase a PE scale Berk.  Myself though I'm very happy with my true to prototype Legacy PM 1225 coupled with it's PE tender when pulling the Polar Express Heavyweights.

I am with you as I am very happy with my scale 1225. BUT, I do feel good for those who  now can have a 1225 engine with whistle steam.

I also think the AF version is a smart move and will be another hit.

I'm tempted, but without knowing if the observation car is being done makes me hesitate.

.......but....they are  being "made to order", if you don't order one you won't have one in case they offer the observation car in the fall catalog. Odds are more PE passenger cars will be produced, eventually. Lionel even "oversized" the pilot this time to make it more like the movie.

Rick you are correct and I talked to a Lionel rep. and he said the observation is coming.

This will be a beautiful set when completed.

I was wondering if anyone else thinks that the S gauge Polar Express set will be a huge success. These sets seem to be selling very well. I am looking for the forums opinions?

The S gauge Polar Express set has certainly caught my eye.  I have the conventional O and bought the PE tender to cure the anemic sounds of the one that comes with the set as well as some extra coaches. Time is ticking on the pre order for that one.  I assume it does not fall under th free fright for forum umbrella?
