I own a polar express scale tender and would like to know what the best berkshire engine would be to match the one in the movie? Are all the sound effects in the tender? I really don't want to spend the $1030 for the new one! What are my options?? Thanks, Don

The ideal thing would be to find the seperate sale ( just the loco) berkshire that was released when the tender was offered item# 6-11203.
These are very scarce, you could put a notice on the WTB forum, with the York Train show maybe someone will run across one.
Provided the infra- red drawbar communication is the same, the new one would be your next best alternative.
As Rick has said, your options are rather limited. I would try the OGR Buy Board first to obtain the 1225 scale engine.
