Anybody tried to model one of these? I have read about them several times, and just ran across a photo of a little
0-4-0 on concave wheels (not flanged, or maybe you'd call it exaggerated double flanges) that ran on logging roads laid with parallel wooden poles. I am trying to picture laying parallel rows of 1/8" or 3/16" dowel on wooden ties. Pictured
track looks like laid parallel telephone poles. I can picture laying a dark, obscure metal center rail, with a center collector, but what will work for ground? I can only think of an outside third (fourth?) rail, which would make for even more
complicated switches. Building one would probably involve metal turning to get the drivers and car wheels.
