Possible to Swap Premier PS2 GP7 Shell to Premier PS3 GP9 Shell? | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

My Premier PS2 GP7 (5V) 20-2335-1 fried the board. I found a great price on a brand new Premier PS3 GP9. Less than what the upgrade would cost. Hoping to swap shells, etc. My PS2 GP7 has two plugs that go from the shell to the harness. Are these plugs the same as on a PS3 version?

If anyone knows or can pull off the shell from their Premier GP7/9, that would be appreciated. Thanks!

My PS3 GP’s do not have a harness connecting to the shell. Lights are mounted on a bracket of sorts attached to the locomotive frame.

This PS2 has that too, but the marker lights have the plugs as seen in the photos.
