Good Morning Everyone:

Well I guess I opened a can of worms with this little adventure.

I had found that my 1 younger brother had Dads old train set when I was starting all this. So he pulled the the set out last night to see whats what. It hasnt been run or serviced, by my best estimate maybe 15 yrs. I told him to at least lube the loco but didnt know if theres a good train place in the South Hills. My brother lives in Bethel Park

Lol I was trying to figure out why the diesel had a steam engine whistle then I saw the trailing tender. Looks like he’s fine.

FWIW. Alan Forester is in Bethel and does repairs. I’ll see if I can dig up his info.

Hi Marty: Thanks. My brother said there is a couple of places he knows of, one in Bridgeville and another on Painters Run Rd. Would greatly appreciate Alan's info. I cant remember if the diesel had a whistle. I will know shortly as I just got a 623 Atsf & 624 C&O. Just started on platform. I will keep you all up to date

Both of those shops are closed.  There are not many in Pittsburgh anymore.  Imperial was the last really close to the city and they moved to Texas.
