I'm thinking about repainting a 726 and 2426W tender in prewar grey. What does everyone think? They are in poor shape and need a repaint. I have a couple in basic black and figured I'd do something different. I usually repaint myself, but this time I'm going to send it to Ray Sorenson. Instead of black with white numbers and letters, maybe black letters on the grey. I think it'll look cool.

I like the dull gray look on the big steam engines. Post pictures before and after you get it back.
Someone here used a rattle can (I think Krylon) Charcoal color that looks a good match for the gunmetal grey of prewar. It's probably some where in the past posts.
