I have to loops of track upper and lower and connected by a ramp.  Both loops are wire separately with a MRC Pure Power Dual transformer with a TMCC Power master for conventional running.  Question is will it cause damage to TMCC engines crossing over from one powered loop to the other.  I have been thinking of wiring in a double throw switch to be able to power the whole layout on one side of the MRC when running TMCC.

For TMCC operation(both PM-1s set to CMD), just keep both throttles wide open and there will be little to no issue crossing blocks.

Huh?  If the Power Sources are phased correctly there will be no issues?  Not sure what Rob meant by wide open throttle?

Normally for TMCC operation both loops are at 18V for command mode.  Train will pass through block fine.  Even in conventional with a low voltage difference the trains will pass through fine.  G

I hate to recommend this because it will put you in competition with me for acguiring TMCC BPC's. Note not to be confused with the Legacy version BPC2'S. These are useless in my opinion.  The BPC can be controlled from the handheld to switch blocks from one of two or even four power sources.  It acts like a double throw switch with a center off position.  So say you are running a Frieght through a series of anticipated blocks. Through the use of the BPC assign those blocks to the preferred power source.  When that Locomotive exits a block you can turn it off or assign it to your second power source for the same smooth operation for a separate locomotive.  I will through a lot of fanagling run a conventional Locomotive right behind a Command Equipped Locomotive.  I hope we don't bid each other up on the bay. PS, Lionel discontinued the BPC. Why? I will never know.  The BPC2 is a simple on/off switch similar to the ASC in accessory mode with the exception that the BPC2 has a beefier switch electronics.
