I was just tossing ideas around for a possible future layout. I want to make it totally modular so that I can take it apart if need be. I was just wondering if anyone could see any problems with using Anderson power pole connectors to provide power and the DCS signal ?

What is an Anderson power pole connector?
The National Capital Trackers switched to them I believe the Liberty Hi-Railers switched as well. Most of the weenie scale groups (HO) have converted and N-trak has officially changed their standard. They work very well with the DCS and TMCC/Legacy signals.

MohawkmIke they are non gender connectors that are easy to use. You need a tool to use them but well worth it. If you google Anderson power poles a site called powerwerks comes up.....they will have all the info you need and they have good prices on them also
You can also solder them... no tool required!
Mouser Electronics is far far cheaper than Powerwerx.

Thanks "It's Toy Trains For Me". In reading about these, they are electrical connectors. Is there anything that differentiates them from other connectors?

Anderson Power Poles work great on the Fowler Dream Layout which is run with DCS
I think its just the simplicity of the connector itself and from what I have read before there is little power loss. I was really wondering about the DCS signal going through them...apparently they seem to work just fine. Thanks all ... Tony
