Does anyone know how to disassemble a Lionel 636 City of Denver Coach. The sheet metal on each end of the car is bent around supporting structural vestibules which makes it impossible to remove the window material and exterior railings. I am afraid to unbend the sheet metal around the supporting vestibules for fear of not being able to bend it back neatly.

How about taking the screws off the roof and removing the roof and the belly pan?
Thank you for your response. Unlike the American Flyer coach where the roof of the car comes off, the Lionel is one piece. There is no separate roof or belly pan.
For what it is worth, the construction is nearly the same as the 616,617,618 Flying Yankee. Opening up the shell and/or removing the car end frames seems like it would lead to undesired results.
Oops. I was thinking of the M 10,000. Sorry.
Agreed, I have no intention of opening up the body as it appears to have been tack welded at the factory. Thanks for the cautionary note.
