I won an auction on ebay for a precision craft On30 goose #4 that was in primer....I wanted to do an aftermarket color scheme anyway. I tried to run the unit but only got the engine fire up in either DCC or anolog....in DCC it wouldn't respond to any channel. I've got the bachmann EZ and the Dynamis for controlers...ideas? Any compatibility issues with the bachmann and the locsound?..or is it just my bad luck?

$100 for it, so I figured the board was worth that...would be better if it ran though!

Russ, thanks for the input! It was weird...had the track power on in DCC on the bach EZ and as soon as that rear truck touched track it started the engine start up sound sequence, even without a 1-9 channel being set yet{was on 1}...tried it in anolog and it did the same thing the same way. Had a headlight the 1st few times playing with the channels but after that it went out and stayed out.

I haven't played with the dynamis yet, but I think this may be a fine time to do so! The dynamis only goes to 20 channels and I've heard other DCC controllers can have more than that...need to figure out the full factory rest CV and go from there...Do you remember what channel your geese were...or are if not changed.

Oh, your added thoughts sir...this unit is missing the bell on the front fender...what would be a good replacement for it...iyho?
