I recently purchased a new MTH Pennsy operating caboose. I already own one and wanted the second to do videos where the flamen were waving to each other. Caboose #1 works fine when on a normal track and the whistle button is pressed on the transformer. Caboose #2 doesn't work on normal track but will work on an operating segment. I have put both units on the track and only #1 responds to the whistle button.
I sent it back to MTH for warranty repairs but they claimed it was working fine. Again it was tested on my layout and at the hobby shop where it was purchased. All with the same result. I played with the switch on the undercarriage and tried varying voltage, but with no effect.
I would like to keep this car and have it as a working part of my railroad. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to make this work on ordinary three rail trackage?
