Question: Can you program an MTH locomotive back to factory default settings with a Z-1000 transformer or do you need the program button only found on the Z-4000 transformer? The ditch lights keep flashing even when I am not sounding the horn and I want to correct that. Reach me at: milt@paiger.org

It can be done! Place engine in neutral and tap Horn/Whistle button once followed by by five quick taps of the Bell button. Two horn/whistle blasts indicate the change has been made.
@triplex - You may find that you get some responses from people 'in-the-know' right here instead of your email address. For one thing, that way everybody gains knowledge which presumably is a goal of the Forum 😉.

The above reset is for PS2 and PS3 only. PS1 has a different reset procedure that can be done with a Z1000, but is more complex. Use the item number to locate the online manual on MTH’s website
