Proto Sound Speaker Upgrade

I have a 1990s Mth J class #611 with the older PS1 sound system from QSI. I have another PS1 engine which is a T1 duplex and it's speaker is very loud, but the J is quiet. I know people have done speaker upgrades before with these PS1 locomotives using Amazon or MTH speakers. What I was wonder is if a Lionel Big Fat Boy speaker would work. With the tender being a sealed the set design I would think it would work well. What do you guys think? Would it give me a deeper louder sound out of this older QSI system?

the big boy would work if it fits in the engine and is the correct ohms speaker!
