PRR trainphone antenna

just a general question regarding the PRR trainphone antennas. I know the cabooses had as well as some freight steam engines. Has anyone ever tried to make one? Braces and all? I think the MTH t-1 has one on the tender.

I was going to try and make one out of soldered brass but am undecided. It would go on custom painted 2671w 4 wheeled tender. Behind matching custom 2025 (1952) painted for the PRR.

Just curious to see if anyone has tried their hand at making one of these. I have an idea on how I want to make mine. Just not sure if I can pull it off, or if I even want to.

No. It's much easier and better detailing to get the stantions and make the conduit out of piano wire. Of course sometimes one is forced to make one for the ALCo RS27 or blw sharks sine there are no commercial available sets to buy.

That's sort what I was thinking too. Like I said I'm not even sure I want to put one on. But I think it look good if I cAn pull it off. Where might one be able to find the stations?

Bowser is one place Bowser Trains . I believe P&D Hobbies may also have some.
