I don't use bcr's

Buzz I mention is heard only at some stages of idle operation. While it may still be there, only certain stages are more noticeable.

All units seem to have such, but as mentioned some units are much more louder.

Now the louder the volume is turned up the more it is drowned out. But at lower volumes it is much more noticeable.

Good to know. But low voltage does not change this paticular buzz.

Yes this buzz is most noticeable upon start up. After sounds kick in it is pretty much drowned out by such. However if you listen for it you can still hear that it is still there. Then only hearing it at the few times little sound is being made or announced.

Needless to say, some units seem to have a more louder of this buzz. I was just wondering that for the ones that this is more noticeable if by any chance that may mean  that something is not quite right, on its way out ect.

For instance I was thinking, perhaps something was wrong with the speaker.

I know that I have heard of speakers causing issues. Not sure what that may be. Which is why I thought I would ask..

Speakers usually cause distortion or intermittent sound when they are about to die, but they don't add an additional sound, like buzzing. The buzzing is likely coming from inside the sound system. Most likely a component failing and getting flaky as it fails.

It won't hurt anything to replace the speaker and if that eases your mind, then go for it. be sure to match the impedance of the new speaker with the old speaker.
