I am planning on upgrading a few of my older MTH PS1 desiel engines with the ERR crusie commander. Wanted to know if the proto couplers on the PS1's will work off the ERR board.

Good question, and one I have as well, but you should of asked in the TMCC forum, not the DCS forum as ERR upgrades are not DCS.
The answer is yes, the PS/1 protocouplers work fine. However, the PS/2 couplers do NOT work with TMCC boards, they're much lower impedance and will damage the triac on the TMCC R2LC.
Good to know, and a win for me since I only buy PS-1 locomotives.
