Hi all,

Running into an interesting issue. Wondering if anyone can offer any suggestions.

So here’s the scenario: I had a Z4000 hooked up to my layout with a revision L TIU.  I had no problems running my fleet of about about two dozen Legacy and TMCC units (with a Legacy cab-2), a dozen PS3 units, and two PS2 3 volt units from 2009-2010 (a Premier Mohawk and a Premier AC4400cw).

I got a great deal on a brand new ZW-L and decided to grab it since I run a majority Lionel and I like the looks of it.

The ZW-L transformer seems to work great and exhibit no problems with my Legacy, TMCC and PS3 engines, however when I try to run the PS2 3v engines, I just get the ominous “Engine not on track” from DCS.

Swapping back to the Z4000 and the PS2 engines work totally normal, but they seem to refuse with the ZW-L.  Also of note, one of the engines has a BCR and the other one has a good battery.  Still, both of them seem to be unreachable with the ZW-L power.

Could this have something to do with the chopped vs. pure sine wave?  Anyone else with this problem?

Cheers and thanks in advance for any help!
