Question about Lionel UP "ES44" with new paint scheme

the grey paint is on the areas you ask about, however the paint around the front window area is incorrect. You can see what I’m referring to if you look at pictures of the prototype

As far as that goes the grey and red striping  along the sides is incorrect also.

Hi John,

Looks to me like Lionel did not do the lightning bolt.  Here's the Atlas version, although not the same road number, it is the same paint scheme the prototype of the Lionel version with the exception of the flag.

P.S. The antenna platform is gray, the antennae are silver and the "GPS" antennae covers are white on the Atlas version

Isn’t the door on the front, supposed to be on the Engineer’s side?

The flag at the side of the nose, towards the front, seems different from the real locomotive.

I have the Atlas Premier version of this locomotive and it looks closer to the photos of the real locomotive.

Thank you for all the pictures.  I have begun to favor Atlas as my preferred model maker for rolling stock, but unfortunately I have Legacy not DCS to run the engines.

There is no lighting bolt and yes the door door is on the wrong side

Real life engine #5282 is painted exactly the way that Lionel painted their engine and is different from the way real life #5283 is painted.  Must be there are alternate new schemes.

Jfc454 you are absolutely correct! Thanks for that info. The door however is  still on the wrong side on both numbers though.

I was wrong about the flag on 5283. The flag on the side of the nose, is different from the flag on 5395.
