Question for MTH techs | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I the last 2 months I have purchased 4 new PS3 RK Imperial engines and 2 of the 4, A Dreyfuss Hudson and NKP ES44, will make an electrical buzzing sound with track power at about 16-18 volts. If I go up to 20-22 volts on my ZW-L it goes away. I am running them with DCS. Any idea what this is and will it be a problem down the road as in board failure? Thanks.

I have not had such problems with either the Z-4000 nor the Lionel 180 bricks.

Do you have a different transformer to try? Electric buzz is not good. What if you remove TIU and just test conventionally. G
