Quick Set Speed

You can turn it off.

I found the on/off for the Quickset Speed Feature.

I forgot about the Remote Setup in the System Menu.

This will help until the remote thumb wheel loosen up a bit.

I read thru Barry's DCS Guide (2nd Version) and seen how this Quick Set Speed feature operates, but did not see how to disable this feature if you even can.

Refer to page 30 of The DCS Companion 3rd Edition:

DCS release 4.0 or later provides the ability to quickly set or change a DCS or TMCC engine's speed. To turn on or off the Quickset Speed feature, use the thumbwheel to scroll to QUICKSET SPEED and press the thumbwheel to select it

• Two soft keys are displayed
• Press soft key S1 (ON) to turn on Quickset Speed
• Press soft key S2 (OFF) to turn off Quickset Speed
• The display will show that Quickset Speed has been turned on or off.
• Press Menu to return to the top level menu

I should have looked into the menus a bit closer before I sent my original request.

I turned the Quick Set Speed Feature off and all is well.
